The Wall

This is one of those films that every time I re-watch it, I can find something new, unravelling even more of Roger Waters' story. The sequence that always captures my attention is looking at how the character Pink (played by Bob Geldoff) deals with losing the person that he is still very much in love with. Rather than the sequence being surrounded by sympathy towards the characters loss, it looks at how he accepts that he could never love her as much as the person that she is with now.

One of the truest and most heartfelt forms of love that has ever been portrayed on screen, showing that love is more than being with the person, it's about putting the other persons happiness above yourself. If you truly love someone you'll be happy when you see them happy with or without you and be thankful for the time that you had. Thinking Selflessly as opposed to your own selfish desires shows love in its' truest form. Anyway if you've seen the film let me know what you thought.

And now for a update in the life of me, yes this is the vain part where I talk about myself (I'll keep it as short as possible). Spent the Thursday to Sunday at Rosie's, which as always was brilliant, went to see her Dads concert on the Thursday, really well played music. Fireworks at Roundhey on Friday were amazing and being able to cuddle up to a lovely young lady while watching them made it even better. Watched Corpse Bride on the Sat, which lived upto everything I hoped it to be, great music, very dark edge to the concept and intriguing characters.

Right now the film shoot in Carlisle this weekend is slowly creeping up, feeling quite prepared and confident that it's going to work, just as long as the weather holds out. Then filming Kit'n Run next week, should really get round to posting the script up but I think I may just wait for the film to be completed and then post that up. Anyway enough of my rambles.
