"Entwined With Silver (The Red Ribbons Shiver)"

Entwined With Silver (The Red Ribbons Shiver)

And his love she screams into the night
As motionlessly he lay beneath her
Her distant words call him back from the void,
But his body's consumed, swallowed.

Saturated in a comatose dream,
He awoke, finding himself asleep upon a burnt red field.
Standing above his slumberous home he shed no tears,
For upon the violet horizon a castle lay before him.

So in search of this refuge where his spirit can rest,
He follows the scarring violet light towards the kingdom,
Leaving to the sound of his lovers lightening, thundering through,
Pleading for his return, striking him with what he'd lost.

Now six suns shine down upon him, on his journey through this land,
Mellow candles hung from the sky, each a light of love for him,
As each he knows, each has a face, echoing stories of another place.
They're his six memories; his father, his mother, his brothers, his lover.

The castle of sand and stone now looms above him,
And upon the scarlet bitten sky and above the Cypress trees,
A chariot, towed by silver sharks drifts through the clouds,
Swimming serenely through the sweetest air towards him.

Gliding to his side the chariot gracefully stops,
Fearful at what will arise from within, his spirit pulls him back.
As, emerging from the fiery bronzed carts hatch,
A faceless lady of silver, sapphires cascading before her.

Flowing forward her pearly eyes set upon his fearful stare,
Her hairs' red ribbons shimmer to the movement of her every step.
Standing before him she offers to him a gentle glistening hand,
Beckoning him to enter the castle gate of his eternal Empyrean.

But once more, swooping through the flame ridden sky,
Appears his lovers voice harrowing a soft cry to him.
While on each of the setting suns the makers face emanates.
His spirit stares at each, turning last to the silver lady.

Honey tears trickles from her gaze, upon her silver cheek,
Knowing her eternal partners chosen to return, leaving her alone.
Abandoned as his spirit fades, her lucid utopia crumbles to dust,
Her silver body joining with the earth as she waits for Canaan.

His body awakens, entwined in the passion of his lover arms,
She turns to face him, gazing in wonder upon his return.
And dancing through her sapphire eyes, the silver lady.
She's given a face, his lovers, clinging to him, her home.
